The laser is designed on the basis of an industrial continuously pumped
CO2-laser with a cross flow. Resonator Q-switching is harnessed by a mechanical
chopper. Intercavity spacial separation of many beams corresponding to
individual laser lines is employed in combination with spacial filtering
for line selection. A mechanical chopper and line selection equipment
are located in the feedback arm of the self-filtering unstable resonator.
